Razorpay, a leading digital payments and neobanking platform in India, has announced the appointment of Praveen Parihar as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With over 14 years of expertise in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and risk management, he brings a proven track record of building robust security infrastructures for leading fintechs.
Based in Bengaluru, Praveen will play a crucial role in strengthening Razorpay’s resilience against evolving cyber threats and ensuring regulatory compliance across its diverse financial products.
Prior to joining Razorpay, Praveen Parihar served at Maya, where he played a critical role in providing anti-fraud guidance for banking products and digital services. In his role, he designed and implemented advanced fraud detection systems, advised on regulatory requirements, and collaborated with senior management to mitigate fraud across banking and wallet ecosystems. Earlier in his career, Praveen worked with leading firms such as ControlCase, Aneja Associates, and Tata Technologies, where he honed his expertise in network security audits, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and ISMS implementation.
His rich experience across cybersecurity, fraud risk, and compliance frameworks positions him to play a pivotal role in advancing Razorpay’s mission of building a secure, trusted, and future-ready payments ecosystem.
