Prakash Padariya has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for IT and security teams by the online hotel aggregator Oyo. In his new role, Padariya will lead a global security strategy for Oyo’s systems, encompassing India, Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
He’ll also be in charge of enhancing cyber security functions from the ground up by leveraging technologies like big data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Padariya’s previous position was at PayU’s headquarters in the Netherlands, where he worked in a similar role. He has vast experience in corporate security consulting, cyber security, cyber warfare, vulnerability assessment, among other areas, with over 19 years of experience across geographies.
He has worked in senior management roles with Fortune 100 companies such as GE, Royal Bank of Scotland, IBM, Target Corporation, and Accenture, in addition to PayU. He will be directly reporting to Ankit Mathuria, the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), at Oyo.
