Fintech Startup CredAble Appoints Shashank Bajpai as its CISO

Bajpai held the position of CISO at ACKO General Insurance and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India.

At working capital tech platform CredAble, Shashank Bajpai has been appointed as Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO).

Bajpai was the CISO of the government-owned export credit provider ECGC Limited before joining CredAble. He held cybersecurity leadership roles at ACKO General Insurance as CISO and BSE India where he was cybersecurity manager.

Apart from BFSI firms, Bajpai also worked at Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited as Manager – Cloud Security and Security Strategy. At EY, Bajpai played the role of a cybersecurity advisory and provided strategic information security consulting to various enterprises in the financial sectors of India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Bajpai began his career in cybersecurity in 2002 when he joined the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) as a research project engineer. He is also an industry mentor at online higher education platform upGrad.

Bajpai accrued several certifications during his tenure as a cybersecurity professional which includes CISM, EC-Council’s Certified Chief Information Security Officer, API Security Architect, CompTIA Security+, CySA+ in threat management and cloud computing, ethical hacking, and vendor certifications from AWS, Microsoft and IBM.
