Pramod Kuksal, who previously served as Capgemini’s head of cybersecurity GTM, presales, and CoE leader, has been named the company’s Chief Information Security Officer (APAC).

Kuksal joined Capgemini as a program manager and head of the SOC, endpoint security, digital forensics, and incident response practice in 2016. Kuksal worked in cybersecurity leadership roles at Symantec, Oracle, Wells Fargo, and Cognizant before joining Capgemini.

Kuksal stated in a Capgemini LinkedIn post that his interest in cybersecurity originates from the fact that it is a niche and dynamic field, with threat landscape changing based on on geography, industry vertical, and time. He said “What I love about it is its dynamic nature as it requires me to be thorough and updated with changes. This makes me feel relevant and valued,”

Furthermore, Kuksal has stated that learning new skills on a regular basis has helped him feel inspired, valuable, and relevant. Kuksal’s 6.5-year term with Capgemini was made possible by opportunities such as speaking in forums, completing professional courses, participating in cross-business unit projects, being assigned a mentor, and being encouraged to build his personal social network.

Kuksal holds the certifications of Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He also holds CompTIA qualifications, as well as Microsoft, Cisco, and Symantec vendor certifications.
