Binatone Acquires New License Rights From Motorola

by CIO AXIS

Binatone Global has acquired exclusive licensing rights to design, develop and market certain Motorola accessory products. “We are excited to announce this next step in our growing partnership with Motorola Mobility,” said Dino Lalvani, Chairman of Binatone. “Accessories are an integral part of enhancing the consumer experience in the mobile world, and Motorola has developed innovative technologies in this space. We see interesting opportunities to bring our innovations in IoT connectivity to this class of devices through our Hubble Connected Platform.”

Binatone began its longstanding collaboration with Motorola Mobility in 2008, and is currently the official licensee for Motorola baby monitors, home and pet monitors. This new agreement will add a range of consumer mobile accessory products including mono and stereo Bluetooth headsets, wireless speakers and car connectivity products to its portfolio of licensed products.

As part of this exclusive licensing business model, Binatone will design, manufacture and deliver this class of products to markets worldwide under the Motorola brand. Motorola and Binatone teams are working together to make this a seamless transition for both customers and suppliers. Binatone will take over as the responsible party for supplying existing and new Motorola branded accessories in these categories worldwide from October 2015.

Hubble is Binatone’s IoT platform, with global coverage, that connects a broad range of devices to cloud using multiple connectivity technologies and provides end to end solutions and services to consumers.
