Accenture Security’s presence and capabilities in France would be strengthened, and Accenture’s development in Europe would be accelerated
Accenture has agreed to buy Openminded, a cybersecurity services company based in France that offers advisory, cloud & infrastructure security, cyber defense, and managed security services. The financial details of the acquisition are being kept under wraps.
Openminded, which was established in 2008 and is supported by a security operations centre, assists clients in anticipating and reducing cybersecurity risks, detecting and responding quickly to cyber incidents, and implementing best practises in regulatory compliance.
Upon completion, the acquisition would add around 100 highly qualified cybersecurity professionals to Accenture Security’s global workforce of nearly 7,000 professionals, extending Accenture’s cybersecurity presence and capabilities in France and Europe.
Commenting on the development, Kelly Bissell, who leads Accenture Security globally, said “With cyberattacks becoming more complex, constant and costly every day, companies must fully embed cybersecurity into the different layers of their organizations to ensure resilience,”
“The acquisition of Openminded supports our commitment to leveraging technology and human ingenuity to help clients be confident and secure in the face of constant change. We look forward to welcoming Openminded’s team to Accenture and helping clients defend against cyber threats more effectively across their entire ecosystem — now and in the future.”
