Airtel customers will be able to purchase Kaspersky Total Security directly from the Airtel Thanks app due to the collaboration of two companies. According to an official announcement, they will also be able to take advantage of exclusive offers.
Kaspersky, a global cybersecurity firm, has teamed up with Bharti Airtel to offer its PC and smartphone security to Airtel customers.
Airtel noted that “Airtel customers simply need to download the latest version of Airtel Thanks app> Go to ‘Shop’ section> Go to lifestyle offers> Click on the Kaspersky banner and get started,”
According to the Kaspersky, the number of Internet-borne cyberthreats has reached 37,650,472. The partnership also aims to raise cybersecurity awareness among Indian internet users and encourage them to practice cyber safe practices.
In addition, mobile threats in India have increased dramatically in the previous two years. According to Kaspersky, India is placed 7th among the countries facing mobile threats in 2020.
Globally, the top mobile threats targeted at smartphone users include adware, which topped the list with a 57 percent share, was followed by backdoors, which tripled between 2019 and 2020, Android exploits surged seventeen-fold, while Trojan-Proxy threats increased twelve times.
