Jacxine Fernandez, a cybersecurity expert, has joined Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL) as Vice President – Information Security. Fernandez was Adani Group’s VP and CISO until recently.
BIAL was India’s first greenfield airport, starting its operations in 2008. BIAL was built using a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and set the path for future Greenfield airport contracts to be signed across India using the same methodology.
Fernandez previously worked at Adani Group and oversaw and led enterprise-wide cybersecurity projects across numerous firms in a variety of industries, including utilities, ports, manufacturing, gas distribution, and airports. Leading and enhancing the 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Third-Party Risk Governance, and Cyber Security Awareness Program were among his primary tasks.
Fernandez has worked across a wide spectrum of industries during the course of his career, which spans over 24 years. In the Middle East and Africa, his experiences include managing risk and security operations as well as business continuity in complex working environments.
