Cynet Opens CISO Community for Shared Insights and Actionable Intelligence

by CISOCONNECT Bureau

Cynet has launched a new CISO Community on Slack for Information Security (InfoSec) leaders to address trends, issues, common challenges, and more. Members of the community will share their insights, skills, and experiences while also learning from a network of like-minded veterans.

The community is mainly for security leaders who work for companies that aren’t in the Fortune 2000. It is intended to be a forum where security professionals can find help, answers, and a sense of belonging that represents their needs and realities. Leadership in larger organisations has access to a variety of resources, networks, and community, as well as unique challenges.

Smaller, resource-constrained cybersecurity teams face more difficult, unique challenges and have less resources to turn to when they need to tap into the experience of others for solid guidance from others who have faced similar challenges.

The community, which is run by vCISO, cybersecurity researcher, ethical hacker, and Cynet Chief Strategy Officer Chris Roberts, offers many membership benefits to senior cybersecurity professionals. To begin, new members may establish a network of colleagues with whom they can collaborate. Through shared experiences, insights, and encouragement, likeminded peers and partners in the group will help one another. As members of the CISO community, they gain access to actionable intelligence and techniques that help them better inform and develop their defensive strategies in order to build a more robust cybersecurity infrastructure.

With the funding of this new space by and for resource-constrained InfoSec leaders, Cynet has responded to the industry’s need for more cooperation and support. It is a true gathering place for security leaders to share, learn, and have valuable discussions with their peers. On April 29th, the CISO Community opened its doors, and those interested can register at the following link: https://go.cynet.com/ciso-community.

Commenting on the development, Chris Roberts, Chief Security Strategist for Cynet, said “This is a safe space for those folks often overlooked or forgotten by our industry,”

He added “As an industry we spend too much time chasing the trophy clients and ignoring everyone else. That paradigm has to shift and this is meant as a first step in the right direction to help everyone else that’s been forgotten.”
