Wipro has agreed to buy Ampion, an Australian company that specialises in cyber security, DevOps, and quality engineering services.
The IT services providers ‘Revolution IT’ and ‘Shelde’ merged to create Ampion. Revolution IT was an Australian IT services company founded in 2004 and Shelde was an Australian digital IT security company founded in 2010. Ampion, the combined company, is based in Melbourne and has offices in Sydney, Brisbane, and a zone 3 facility in Canberra.

The adoption of cloud, DevOps, analytics, and resilience-related digital capabilities across businesses and government agencies is causing major disruption in the Australian sector. The combined offerings of Wipro and Ampion, which are fuelled by engineering transformation, DevOps, and security consulting services, would add size and business agility to respond to customers’ growing demands.
