Verint® Systems, Inc.  introduced the release of its newest version of Verint EdgeVMS™, which includes powerful new features specifically designed to benefit customers in the financial market.

The new release of Verint EdgeVMS provides enhancements to the enterprise-class Verint Vid-Center™, Verint Op-Center™ and Verint EdgeVR™ solutions. These innovations were designed to provide advanced functionality to customers in the financial market in the areas of bandwidth optimization, remote access and robust surveillance analytics. The new Verint EdgeVMS includes two new search capabilities to help financial institutions more readily investigate and detect fraud and theft attempts. Among the advancements are centralized event and transaction search that enables operators to search for specific incidents and transactions across multiple sites, using flexible filters, such as time and date, location, transaction amount and account number.Centralized forensic face search functionality that allows users to locate a specific face across several locations and discover when a known suspect may have visited a specific site.Rapid access to specific transaction parameters or individual characteristics are critical to helping banks locate suspicious transactions or anomalies. For example, operators can search Verint EdgeVMS for all transactions that were above a certain monetary value. Also, by using the solution’s forensic face search capabilities, they can quickly identify people involved in a suspicious transaction by comparing their faces with criminal databases.

“The new search capabilities offered in Verint EdgeVMS provide a powerful tool for banks to investigate and detect potential fraud and theft,” says Steve Weller, senior vice president and general manager, Verint Video and Situation Intelligence Solutions. “With enhanced event and transaction search, and forensic face search functionality, operators can improve visibility into customer transactions, adding context over time to detect patterns that might indicate theft or fraud. By improving situational awareness, operators can gain new levels of intelligence, and react to incidents faster and more effectively.”
