by CISOCONNECT Bureau

Adrian Asher, a J.P. Morgan cybersecurity expert and cloud evangelist, has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and head of cloud architecture by Checkout.com, a cloud-based global payment solutions provider.

Checkout.com benefits from Asher’s more than two decades of pioneering cybersecurity leadership. Asher was in J.P. Morgan, where he was the head of global cybersecurity identity in the cloud for the financial services firm.

Prior to that, he held several senior information security positions for financial and cloud-focused organizations, including Microsoft-acquired Skype, the London Stock Exchange Group, HSBC, and Barclays Capital. Asher was also an Executive in Residence at Accel Partners, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, where he counselled and participated in the evaluation of emerging technology.

Asher is a regular speaker at industry events such as TedX. He has a master’s degree in information security from the University of London and will report directly to Checkout.com CTO Ott Kaukver. He will be stationed at Checkout.com’s global headquarters in London.
