NSO Group refuted the claims by 17 media organisations on Sunday, claiming that their product was exclusively used by government intelligence
U.S. media group Vice reported on Monday that Amazon.com Inc’s cloud service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), has shut down infrastructure and accounts tied to Israeli surveillance vendor NSO Group.
According to the report, the move came after a media investigation revealed that NSO’s licensed software had been used to hack the smartphones of journalists, government officials, and human rights activists around the world.
Vice quoted a company spokesperson as saying, after Amazon learning the activities of NSO Group, it shut down the relevant infrastructure and accounts linked to NSO.
