Fortinet, has made a global alliance partnership with consulting, technology and services company, Capgemini.

Capgemini will work with Fortinet as a key partner, within its eco-system of security product suppliers, to deliver physical and virtualised security protection and security supervision services.

Together, they will provide new packaged cyber-security services such as Web application security, security for new generation software-defined datacentres (SDDC) and fully automated and virtualised datacentres, and security operation centres specialising in advanced data analysis.

These products will be part of Capgemini’s tailored security services for infrastructure, applications and network protection, aiming to deliver flexibility, better performance and to reduce total cost of ownership to enterprise customers.

Beyond technology integration, the agreement also covers human expertise with the training of 300 global Capgemini engineers to Fortinet’s eight-level certification program.

Capgemini Group global head of cyber-security, Franck Greverie, said through this relationship, Capgemini will further reinforce its cyber-security services portfolio leveraging Fortinet products to help reduce customer costs and increase the resilience of clients’ infrastructure and applications.

Greverie also said the alliance allows enterprise organisations to benefit from the combination of Fortinet’s security product expertise and Capgemini’s cybersecurity services, on a global scale.

“Not a month goes by without news of a cyber-security attack. With this increasing threat to enterprises and consumers alike, we want to provide the highest security protection and security supervision services to meet these challenges.

Working with one of the most innovative, fastest growing, and largest security companies worldwide allows us to offer the best level of security to our enterprise customers and further strengthens our market position and drawing on Fortinet technology this alliance partnership will strengthen our application and infrastructure security services,” he said.

Fortinet CEO, Ken Xie, said the partnership with Capgemini is a strategic one, allowing the company to join forces and combine advanced technologies with human intelligence and expertise in order to provide broad and adaptive security solutions to the enterprise market.

“Enterprises must address the challenge of protecting their most valuable business assets, including data and applications.

“Through our close collaboration, we will be able to support Capgemini’s enterprise customers in their global projects, to help protect them against a highly complex threat landscape, and evolve their security posture to a business environment in constant change,” Xie said.
