Technisanct, a cybersecurity and big data startup based in Kochi, has revealed a severe data breach in an Indian trading platform. Over 3.4 million customers’ personal information was exposed. Name, customer ID, contact number, email ID, trade login ID, branch ID, city, and country were among the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that was exposed.
Technisanct’s digital risk monitoring tool, ‘Integrite,’ detected the security incident. Customers’ data has been stored on a data-sharing platform for sale. The information was made public on June 15, and Technisanct reported the incident to CERT.
